Willis Preston Campbell has been a professional photographer for over thirty years. His studio is located in the town of Santa Cruz. He began photography as a hobby at the age of 12 when his father gave him a Kodak Brownie camera. During his high school years photography became an avenue of expression and friendship. Being part of the journalism class and yearbook, he ran around campus to record and capture moments at games, classes and special events. While at Santa Rosa Junior College he worked as a photographer for the Santa Rosa Press Democrat. At family gatherings, church outings and with friends he took pictures. In college his skill and enjoyment of photography increased and following college he became a full time professional photographer in 1972.

In early 1977 he moved to Santa Cruz and opened his studio for weddings and portraits and he has been 31 years at the same Victorian studio location in downtown Santa Cruz. Willis loves photographing and creating for his client’s their unique images. Willis serves clients throughout the Santa Cruz area, the San Francisco Bay area and United States with his unique style of wedding coverage and personalized portraiture. Willis loves to create for families, couples, high school seniors, children, and wedding couples their most treasured memories.

Willis and Jean have been married since 2003 and combining their families together they have several children and grandchildren. Away from the studio he spends time with his wife, children and families. Jean also assists Willis on the wedding assignments. He and his wife greatly enjoy their church, Jubilee Christian Center in San Jose. Being a Christians, they want to share God’s love with others in the marketplace.

Willis and Jean’s personal passion is traveling with family and church assignments and photographing people, families and nature on both assigned and personal pleasure trips. God has made a wonderful world for all to enjoy and explore!
